Sylvia van de Bunt

Dr. Sylvia van de Bunt works at the Vrije Universiteit (VU) Amsterdam, and is a Visiting Professor at the Business School of the University of Suffolk, UK.

During her career in business and academia she has worked as management consultant for NGO’s, the EU and she was Head Foreign office of Universiteit van Tilburg in the 1980s-1990s.

Various international publications have been published around cross-cultural relations, organisational culture, leadership and talent diversity, in magazines such as The European Journal of Open, Distance and E-Learning, The International Journal of Servant-Leadership, Technology Analysis & Strategic Management, and Higher Education in Europe.

She was board member of Compu’Train and Kennisnet and chairwoman of NGVO, the “Nederlandstalig Genootschap voor Vergelijkende Studies van Onderwijs en Opvoeding”, a daughter organisation of the World Council of Comparative Education Societies, www.wcces.net. She was a member of the advosry coincil Access to Medicine Index (www.accesstomedicineindex.org) and is chairwoman of the advisory council of the Nova Academie in Haarlem.
