Explanation about the Company Name VDB Consulting
The official name of our agency is consulting firm Dr. P.A.E. van de Bunt BV. Since the appointment of Lisa van de Bunt Professor is also the distinguishing abbreviation prof. in the official name. This complicated naming is legally necessary, because no confusion should arise with the Office of van de Bunt, Adviseurs from Amsterdam. The latter Office was founded in 1933 by the father of Lisa van de Bunt. The practice is one of the first Dutch consultancy’s in the history, but the family van de Bunt has no stake in the venture anymore.
The name of our Company is an abbreviation of the surname of van de Bunt. The distinctive name is chosen, not to create confusion with the Office of the Bunt, advisors from Amsterdam. This last Office was co founded in 1933 by the father of Lisa van de Bunt.
On historical grounds, we have the full titles in our current, complicated name. In practice we use VDB Consulting as consulting brand name.
As mentioned van de Bunt is one of the first Dutch consultants in the history, but the family of the Bunt has had no more stake after the retirement of Mr. H. van de Bunt as a partner. Historical ties are there for sure, especially as the Office of van de Bunt celebrated her existence as an octogenarian (80!) in 2013.
